Two-Shot Injection Molding

This process creates a robust chemical bond between the two resins that is far superior to glued or mechanically joined parts.

Two for one

For components requiring multiple materials, colors, or performance characteristics in a single, unified piece, 2-shot molding capabilities deliver optimal results. Since the coloring on the surface is another plastic part, the diagrams and icons will not wear off from mechanical abrasion and frequent use.

The first material is injected into a mold to create the substrate, around which the other material or materials will be molded. This is then transferred (by hand or robot arm) to another cavity or mold.
